We have 2 routes - called Long (86/80 miles) and Short (50/44 miles). However, both have a (clearly sign-posted) short-cut missing the Mow Cop climb which removes a very tough 6 miles from each route. So effectively there are 4 route options - we’ll know if you take the Mow Cop climb because we’ll be there with our chip timing equipment. Both long and short routes start together and share the same roads until approx 39/45 miles whereupon the short route takes a dive directly to the finish. This allows for you to start and ride with friends no matter your route choice.
Take a good look at the Cheshire Cheese Chase cyclosportive routes. Click any of the coloured descriptions to grey out or enable their visability on the map. Actual routes may change or update between now and event day as we make changes. Changes, usually small, come about due to roads closures or unsuitability if we notice surface deteriorations during our regular on-the-bike surveys. Nearer the day we’ll publish our own gpx file to download and install on your bike GPS computer (Garmin, Mio or iphone for example) from this page. Our routes run anti-clockwise (left-handed) and are clearly sign-posted.
